“NORTAG-  [Northern Residents Tunnels Action Group] is an increasingly expanding group of Northern Sydney Residents, Business People and Educators who have come together to fight for a healthy and safe environment for our communities which is under threat from the unprecedented, explosion in road system developments without due regard to rail and other sustainable transport options available.

No other options apart from building more road systems, which only increases the amount of cars, are being investigated or considered.

This in turn creates a choke effect on local roads that the new systems feed into further down the line.   

 A serious factor is that Rail options are glaringly absent and the true needs and requirements of the people in the communities affected are not being addressed appropriately. 

The State Government must undertake & publicly provide feasibility studies for Sustainable Transport Alternatives as a comparison before committing to private Toll Roads and Tunnels, and NOT commit to Toll Roads &  Tunnels unless Best Value For Money & Safe Options for community can be established."
