A Bit of Background

NORTAG [Northern Residents Tunnels Action Group at a Glance

NORTAG is driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the north shore a better place for all.

We are doing our best to remain informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. But the issues surrounding tunnel exhaust stacks is confusing and there is no 100% guarantee that prolonged exposure to the fallout (200mtrs from stack base out to 500mtrs according to RMS) wont have long term health effects on residents and in particular our kids.

So until there is certainty around this issues we believe the NSW State Government should spend the $360 million dollars to filter all six of the stacks on the lower north shore. The overall project costs is estimated at $14 billion.
